Spirituality – What does being spiritual mean ?
Goodness what a question …one I have found myself asking a lot. Being ‘spiritual’ means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Usually when telling people what I believe or who I am … I tell people I am spiritual and alternative. I like my crystals both physical and the liquid crystals modality as well as using essential oils to assist me.
The dictionary describes the meaning of spiritual as
- relating to or affecting the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things
- non-material, inner, psychic, psychical, psychological
- relating to religion or religious beliefs
- synonyms:
- religious, sacred, divine, holy, non-secular, church, churchly, ecclesiastic, devotional
I was raised loosely as a Roman Catholic – we went to church sparodically throughout my childhood I was Christened and completed my Confirmation.
I have always been drawn to the ideas of re-incarnation that we are here for a purpose that there is so much more after we die. I have always had strong ties to Egypt and my journey with the liquid crystals has given me so many answers as to why.
Meditation ? Is awesome as long as you have an idea as to what you want get out of it – is there a point to listening to a guided meditation for an hour without any direction ? Well I believe yes if the point of the meditation was to spend some quality time for you off the grid so to speak (ie no TV iPhone facebook … distraction)
